2010: A BUSY BEGINNING
In the last week of 2009, we organized a training seminar for the Seedbag Project with the participation of our Canadian missionary in Zambia, Cheryl Ann Johnson. All our participants appreciated her dynamic teaching which will make them well-equipped to present the Gospel to fifth grade students. Following this training, we distributed more than 250 Seedbags in four different classes. We still have three more schools to visit, including one in Kashamata which has a large number of orphans. It is in this school where we would like to begin a feeding program.
At the end of January we attended the General Conference of the Assemblies of God in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. More than 300 pastors and workers from every province of the country joined together to report on the progress of the work of God in Congo. The conference took place in Arche de l'Alliance, which is the church of the national superintendant, Pasteur Nsembe. On Sunday we ministered in music and preaching in this church. Unfortunately, Marielle returned sick from the Congolese capital, and required care when we got back to Lubumbashi. She is doing fine now.
We would like to remind you of the importance of your prayers on our behalf. We believe that God's blessing and protection have been granted to us because of these prayers. We want to thank you with all our hearts for your participation in the work of the Lord in Congo. We look forward to seeing you and sharing face to face with you all that God has been doing here. We will be in Quebec from the end of April until the beginning of October 2010, before returning again to DRC for another term. If you would like us to visit your church, please contact Lucie Chouinard of the Quebec District office of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.
May the Lord be praised! Bwana asifiwe!
Pierre and Marielle
