Glory to God, as
He is faithful and He answers prayer. Since the
15th of July we have had a place we can call 'our
house.' After a 17 month wait, Marielle can now
decorate the 'home of her own.' During our trip
to Canada, one of our concerns was 'Where are we
going to live when we return to Congo?' In fact,
we had to check to see if the place where we had previously stayed
was available, as a large team from Canada had
requisitioned all the space. You might remember
that during the same period last year we had to
live at the Bible College for two months,
working, eating and sleeping at my office.
To our great surprise, a house became free while
we were in Canada. An American missionary had
been living there, but is now in Kinshasa.
Another couple was supposed to take the place,
but due to circumstances only God could have
orchestrated, they found a house elsewhere.
Besides that, we were supposed to have returned
to Congo on July 14th but were delayed 20
kilometres from the border for two hours because
of a flat tire. We were forced to stay in
Zambia for the night because the border closes
at 6:00 PM. This delay allowed the place to
become free for us. Thanks to all of you who prayed
for this request.
Here are some photos. Welcome to our home.
