On July 9th we
arrived back again on African soil. Our short
visit to Canada allowed us to attend the General
Conference in Toronto, to visit approximately twenty
of our supporting churches, and to be there
for the birth of our granddaughter, Lilymae
Rose. The joy of being grandparents for the
second time was quickly replaced by the sadness
of leaving. However, we left with hearts full
of good memories and some new friends in the
faith.

Our mission in Canada had several objectives.
Firstly, we were able to report on all that had
been accomplished in Katanga. Unfortunately, we
were not able to visit all of our supporting
churches. If you belong to one of these, please
know that you are appreciated and that your
support is precious to us. You will be the
first on our list for our next visit to the
country.
Secondly, we also collected books for our ISTEK
(Bible College) library. We want to thank
everyone who contributed, and especially want to
thank la Ligue pour la Lecture de la Bible (Scripture
Union) for their generous donation. The books
and other materials are en route by container to
Zambia, and will all be brought to Lubumbashi.
Thirdly, we were also looking to increase our
team of supporters. The work ahead of us is
enormous and despite their good intentions, the
believers in Katanga have few resources. That
is why your generosity is so very important.

Concerning the
ministry in Congo, we have begun steps for the
Bible College to have its own building and the
construction needs to begin very soon. We would
appreciate your prayers that the necessary
papers would promptly be given to us. We have
about two months to do the construction before
the beginning of the academic year. If you
would like to make a financial contribution to
this project, you can send your gift to the PAOC
to the account of ''Paradis--ISTEK building
project." Thank you in advance for your
participation.
